Co-Founder / Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Co-Founder CTO for one of our subsidiary firms.

Job Title:          Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Status:              This is a Non-salaried Co-Founder position (until we secure investment).

                         The CTO will receive Co-Founder equity. The role may be part-time until investment is secured.  The role will be                                  remote until after investment after-which, the CTO will be based in EU or USA.

About The Role

We are seeking an ambitious experienced Co-Founder & CTO for a start-up SaaS company developing innovative software and mobile application solutions for the Supply Chain Management and logistics industries; transforming how supply chains are managed, tracked, and connected across the globe.  We are developing core and next generation technology to include (but not limited to): AI/ML, location tracking, telematics, and analytical functions with the ability to integrate with legacy systems. 

 

We have functional MVP and Beta tested with a multi-national client, and we are now raising seed investment. The Co-Founder & CTO will be instrumental in assisting with pitching investors and securing investment capital (which will be used for development and compensation. Joining as a Co-Founder at the early stage of our exciting journey, will ensure we can learn and grow together as a team and benefit from long-term equity and the rewards of revolutionizing the industry. 

 

Role Description

The CTO will join a small startup team as a Co-Founder providing leadership and strategy on key design, development, and architecture. The CTO will have direct responsibility and accountability for driving technology strategy across a highly matrixed platform. 

 

Ability to visualize and cultivate the company’s’ mission of building a highly complex and competent ecosystem: specifically: synthesizing, prioritizing, rationalizing, and simplifying competing requirements and programs available is fundamental to the success of the position.  A visionary attitude, a creative, collaborative approach to problem solving and a natural appetite for complex and ever-shifting problem domains, as well as a (leadership) stewardship mentality is critical to success.


Core Responsibilities 

  • Design, Build and maintain a robust Technology Roadmap 

  • Align the Technology Roadmap with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Release Plans

  • Build secure siloed architecture and databases: Ensure Clean Code, Clean Architecture, adhering to SOLID principles

  • Create a DevOps environment that ensures stability, SLAs, flexibility, and transparency.

  • Strategic Vision: Natural ability to see the big picture, and to derive a concrete plan to shape the future. Comprehend the many dimensions of how various technology set combinations can achieve market disruption and create momentum in the ever-changing state of tech industry. Be able to confidently turn that understanding into a feasible plan to enable the execution of the Business and Product Plans. 

Minimum requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience with SaaS technologies, architecting, developing, and launching software products or services

  • 3+ years’ experience managing successful engineering teams

  • Extensive experience in AI/ML 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks 

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Logistics industry is a plus

 

Advantageous

  • Strategic Vision: Natural ability to see the big picture, and to derive a concrete plan to shape the future. 

  • Experience in designing siloed architectural systems and integration with legacy systems

  • Ability to collaboratively operate in a fluid start-up environment with the ability to visualize and plan the company’s long-term objectives.  

  • Current or former CTO 

 

Candidates are required to undertake a psychometric assessment.
